Mechanical Maintenance Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to lead on‑site inspections, load testing and maintenance of lifting equipment across Singapore. The role involves close interaction with authorised examiners, clients and internal teams to ensure safety compliance and business growth.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct visual inspections, load testing and maintenance in line with MOM guidelines.
• Liaise with Authorised Examiners and clients for witnessing activities and certificate renewals.
• Perform site visits, technical assessments, troubleshooting and respond to client enquiries.
• Prepare inspection reports, technical findings and maintenance documentation.
• Ensure equipment is calibrated, maintained and ready for deployment.
• Maintain records of equipment usage, service reports and project documentation.
• Coordinate projects, site activities, manpower and subcontractors as needed.
• Identify business opportunities during site visits and propose suitable services.
• Support preparation of quotations, proposals, tenders and service agreements.
• Promote the company’s maintenance, inspection, testing and certification services.
• Perform other ad‑hoc duties assigned by supervisors.

Required profile

• NITEC or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in mechanical maintenance, lifting equipment inspection or machinery servicing.
• Hands‑on experience with mechanical equipment, troubleshooting and load testing.
• Welding knowledge or experience is an advantage.
• Strong communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills.
• Independent, self‑motivated and results‑oriented.
• Willingness to work outdoors and travel to customer sites.
• Valid local Class 3 driving licence (Class 4 licence is a plus).
