MTS, FECOS CPIE Device Engineer

About the role

Micron's Central Manufacturing Team is looking for a device engineer to enable technology ramp in production and drive product yield and quality improvement. The role works collaboratively with Micron's global network on CMOS and memory device performance enhancement, variability reduction, design and test optimisation, process simplification and working methodology improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Enable technology ramp in high-volume production for CMOS and memory devices
• Improve device performance with a focus on variability reduction and robustness
• Support and execute design and test optimisation to enhance manufacturability and performance
• Identify and implement process simplification and working methodology improvements
• Lead or contribute to cross-functional problem solving for device, yield and quality issues

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of relevant working experience
• Master's or PhD in Physics or Engineering preferred
• Experience in wafer fab process or process integration engineering
• Direct experience in advanced CMOS device technology such as FinFET or GAA is preferable
• Proven knowledge of semiconductor physics, transistor operation, scaling limits and reliability, and basic knowledge of CMOS circuits and characterisation methods
• Understanding of wafer fabrication process areas, tool sets and process mechanisms
• Excellent data analysis skills and good digital literacy with MS Office
• Programming in Python is a plus
• Ability to use AI-enabled tools responsibly and to share AI-enabled improvements within your scope
