NDT Inspector (Technician)

About the role

Pratt & Whitney, an RTX business, is looking for an NDT Inspector (Technician) to work onsite at its Loyang Crescent site in Singapore. The role covers non-destructive testing of aircraft engines and components, including inspection, interpretation of results and documentation.

Key responsibilities

• Apply Fluorescent Penetrant Inspection (FPI), Magnetic Particle Inspection (MPI) and/or Ultrasonic Testing (UT), interpret and evaluate results for acceptance or rejection, and document them according to procedures.
• Work within the scope and limitations of the methods used, as certified and as directed.
• Navigate engine manuals and interpret them against the engineering work scope.
• Carry out system performance checks in line with applicable process standards.
• Set up, standardize and operate NDT tooling and equipment, and perform routine calibration and servicing of test media and equipment.

Required profile

• Minimum diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or another related discipline.
• At least 400 hours of FPI (aerospace) and at least 2 years of experience with aircraft structures, engines and/or components, or equivalent training or experience.
• Current certification such as NAS410 / EN4179 / PCN / ASNT or SNT-TC-1A.
• Prior NDT experience in the aviation sector is preferred.

Required skills

• Working knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Working knowledge of SAP
