Oil Operator – Physical Crude & Product Trading

About the role

We are seeking an Oil Operator to join our Singapore trading desk, responsible for managing post‑trade activities for physical crude and product cargoes. The role ensures smooth execution from contract review through vessel nomination to settlement, supporting our commodities trading operations.

Key responsibilities

• Handle post‑trade operations for physical crude oil and refined product cargoes.
• Review trade contracts, nominate appropriate vessels and coordinate lifting schedules.
• Monitor loading and discharge operations, resolving any issues in real time.
• Prepare and manage shipping documentation, demurrage calculations and coordinate settlements.
• Maintain compliance with internal controls and sanctions regulations.

Required profile

• 3–5 years of experience in crude oil or oil trading operations.
• Strong understanding of physical oil contracts, Incoterms and shipping terms.
• Familiarity with Asia‑Pacific crude markets and FOB, CIF, DES cargoes.
• Exposure to refined products such as gasoil and gasoline is a plus.
• Detail‑oriented, risk‑aware and comfortable in a fast‑moving desk environment.
