On-Site Specialist

About the role

Air Liquide Singapore Private Limited, the largest industrial gas company in south-east Asia, is hiring an On-Site Specialist. The role ensures the safe and reliable performance of on-site units and supports the on-site manager in planning and executing shutdown maintenance. It also covers rapid response to supply interruptions, root cause analysis, technical reviews and commissioning on new projects, and compliance with the industrial management system.

Key responsibilities

• Provide effective and efficient maintenance services for all on-site plants, keeping activities within schedule, budget and customer requirements.
• Manage maintenance and operation procedures and comply with local regulatory and corporate safety and industrial standards.
• Review and perform gap analysis for IMS (GP/GT/GE) compliance and follow identified action plans.
• Prepare and maintain documentation to support audits, and propose ideas for SMART savings without compromising safety and reliability.
• Perform root cause analysis (8D reports) for incidents and analyse reliability performance to find trends and improvement areas.
• Support the on-site manager in reporting reliability performance and explaining incident reports to customers, and give recommendations for repair methods.
• Adopt and implement initiatives sponsored by IM-WBL and IM-ROC, and support the change management process.

Required profile

• Diploma or degree in Electrical and Instrumentation Engineering preferred.
• Experience in continuous plant maintenance and operations.
• Ability to travel to customer sites and neighbouring countries when required.
• Class 3 licence is an added advantage.

Required skills

• Troubleshooting E&I in plant operations: sensors, transmitters, control valves, actuators, analyzers, PLCs and power distribution for LV panels.
• Calibration of transmitters and analyzers and loop checking.
• Hands-on approach to troubleshooting plant machinery.
