Operations & Customer Quality Engineer

About the role

As an Operations & Customer Quality Engineer you will ensure that Applied Materials’ equipment and processes meet the highest quality standards for our semiconductor and display customers. You will work closely with product, manufacturing and customer teams to develop, test and improve quality procedures.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and apply quality standards in accordance with company and customer requirements.
• Design and implement inspection, testing and evaluation methods for products and production equipment.
• Prepare documentation for inspection and testing procedures and recommend corrective actions.
• Analyze operational data, develop recommendations and lead or participate in audits.
• Evaluate work methods, track qualification status, review reliability test results and determine disposition of non‑compliant products.
• Interpret technical drawings and specifications, adapting measurement devices and procedures as needed.
• Reduce qualification cycle time and cost while maintaining quality performance.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Materials Science.
• 4‑6 years of experience in quality engineering, operations or customer‑facing quality roles.
• Demonstrated expertise in quality standards development and practical knowledge of related disciplines.
• Ability to act as a resource for less‑experienced colleagues and lead small projects.
