Operations Executive (Freight Forwarding)

About the role

The Operations Executive will support the freight forwarding team by handling shipment documentation, planning collections and deliveries, and ensuring timely execution of logistics tasks. This junior‑level position offers exposure to end‑to‑end freight operations in a fast‑paced environment.

Key responsibilities

• Handle shipment documentation and coordinate collections and deliveries to meet deadlines.
• Prepare and process shipment orders accurately.
• Follow up with customers on shipment status, build relationships and respond to requests.
• Maintain regular communication to anticipate and understand customer needs.
• Ensure all job files are completed on time for monthly account closing.
• Monitor performance against assigned KPIs.
• Perform ad‑hoc duties as assigned.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of experience in freight forwarding.
• Diploma or ITE qualification in Logistics, Supply Chain, or a related field.
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Ability to multitask, work independently and thrive in a fast‑paced setting.
• Detail‑oriented, organized and proactive.
• Willingness to work additional hours when required.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word.
• Proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook.
• Familiarity with Sysfreight (advantage).
