Warehouse Operations Manager – Electrical Components

About the role

The Warehouse Operations Manager will lead all warehouse activities for an electrical components distribution business. You will ensure efficient storage, accurate inventory control, and timely order fulfillment in a high‑SKU, fast‑moving environment.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee daily warehouse functions: receiving, put‑away, storage, picking, packing, and dispatch.
• Design and maintain optimal layout and space utilization for small‑component inventory.
• Drive workflow improvements to boost order accuracy and turnaround times.
• Implement and enforce SOPs, conduct cycle counts and regular audits to maintain high inventory accuracy.
• Manage SKU complexity, monitor stock levels, slow‑moving items, and obsolescence risks.
• Ensure proper handling of ESD‑sensitive and fragile electronic parts and compliance with safety standards.
• Lead, train, and supervise warehouse staff, set performance targets, and monitor productivity metrics (pick rate, OTIF).
• Manage SAP/EWM system, track KPIs, and report on inventory accuracy, order fulfillment rates, and turnaround time.
• Supervise the distribution center during off‑hours, overtime, and public holidays.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business or a related field.
• Minimum 4 years of experience in warehouse or distribution operations, preferably in electronics/electrical components.
• Proven ability to manage high‑SKU, fast‑moving inventory environments.
• Strong knowledge of warehouse operations, inventory control, and logistics.
• Experience with SAP/EWM and familiarity with ESD handling standards.
• Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, and organizational abilities.
