Optical Engineer – Machine Vision for Semiconductor Manufacturing

About the role

We are hiring an Optics Engineer specialized in machine vision for semiconductor equipment. The role involves designing, developing, and optimizing optical systems for high‑precision inspection in a fast‑moving semiconductor environment.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and optimize optical systems for machine vision applications.
• Evaluate and select cameras, lenses, lighting, and optical components for high‑precision inspection systems.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to integrate optical solutions into semiconductor equipment.
• Perform optical testing, calibration, and image‑quality analysis.
• Troubleshoot and improve imaging performance to meet demanding production requirements.
• Support new product development, validation, and continuous process improvements.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Optical Engineering, Physics, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Experience in machine vision, optics, or semiconductor equipment is highly preferred.
• Familiarity with cameras, lenses, illumination systems, and image‑processing concepts.
• Knowledge of optical alignment, imaging systems, and calibration techniques.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills.
