Paralegal – Family & Divorce

About the role

We are seeking competent and dedicated paralegals to join our Family & Divorce team. In this role you will support attorneys throughout the litigation process, handling documentation, research, and client interaction to ensure cases progress smoothly.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare, file, and serve pleadings and related court documents.
• Act as liaison between courts, clients, and other stakeholders for scheduling and information sharing.
• Organise and manage both paper and electronic filing systems, including creating spreadsheets and retrieval tools.
• Coordinate collection, review, and production of documents; respond to discovery requests.
• Assist with trial preparation by assembling exhibits, witness binders, and deposition appendices.
• Summarise deposition and trial transcripts and exhibits.
• Conduct factual research using internal files and external sources, and compile statistics, charts, and summaries.
• Prepare affidavits, legal correspondence, and other documents for attorneys.
• Meet with clients, attorneys, and professionals to discuss case details and investigate case facts, statutes, and case law.

Required profile

• Diploma in Law or a related field.
• Minimum 2 years of substantive experience as a paralegal in family litigation.
• Strong multitasking ability and capacity to work in a fast‑paced environment.
• Excellent organisational skills, attention to detail, and ability to meet tight deadlines.
• Team player with a positive attitude and a strong sense of responsibility.
