Paramedic Specialist – Direct Entry Sergeant (SCDF)

About the role

The Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) is seeking motivated individuals to join as Paramedic Specialists (Direct‑Entry Sergeant). You will be part of an elite emergency response team, delivering high‑quality pre‑hospital care and supporting public safety in both routine and crisis situations.

Key responsibilities

• Provide first‑class pre‑hospital medical care to patients at emergency scenes.
• Assess patients quickly and accurately, delivering appropriate interventions while remaining calm under pressure.
• Collaborate with fire‑rescue and other emergency services to ensure coordinated response.
• Maintain accurate patient records and report on incident outcomes.
• Participate in ongoing training and pursue Level 4 Certified Paramedic qualification.

Required profile

• Diploma from a Polytechnic, Higher NITEC in Paramedicine & Emergency Care, IB, NUS High School, NAFA, or LASELLE.
• For candidates with National Service obligations, medical classification of PES B1 or above.
• Pass the minimum IPPT standards.
• Pre‑enlistees must commit to a 5‑year Minimum Term of Engagement bond.

• Stable full‑time permanent employment with a competitive salary range of SGD 2,940 – 4,370 per month, inclusive of frontline allowances.
