Part-Time Lecturer – Art‑Tech Collaboration (Postgraduate)

About the role

The School of Art, Design and Media at Nanyang Technological University seeks a part‑time lecturer to teach the postgraduate course AP6402 Art‑Tech Collaboration starting August 2026. The 13‑week module blends artistic vision with technical implementation to guide students in creating a complete game concept pitch.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver weekly lectures and workshops covering cross‑disciplinary art‑technology integration.
• Oversee the incorporation of art assets into game engines while managing technical constraints.
• Mentor student teams through the development of gameplay demonstrations and pitch presentations.
• Assess student work against industry standards for both independent and large‑scale game development.

Required profile

• Master’s or PhD in Technical Art, Game Development, Interactive Media, or a related field.
• Demonstrated experience bridging artistic vision and technical execution in professional or research settings.
• Prior teaching experience at the undergraduate level is preferred.
• Exceptional candidates with a relevant bachelor’s degree and extensive industry experience (e.g., Technical Artist, Art Lead, Creative Producer) may also be considered.
