Part-Time Lecturer – Modelling & Animation for Games

About the role

The School of Art, Design and Media at Nanyang Technological University seeks a part‑time lecturer to deliver AP6413 Modelling and Animation for Games. This 13‑week undergraduate course equips students with the skills to create 2D sprites, 3D models, textures, and basic animations ready for game engines.

Key responsibilities

• Teach and mentor students through the complete game‑art pipeline, from concept to engine integration.
• Guide practical sessions on 3D modelling, texturing, rigging, animation and motion‑capture integration.
• Support students in designing efficient, modular assets and assembling them within a modern game engine.
• Assess student work and provide feedback to help build a portfolio of game‑ready assets.

Required profile

• Master’s or PhD in Animation, Game Art, Digital Media or a related discipline, with a strong creative practice.
• Demonstrated expertise in professional game‑asset production.
• Prior undergraduate teaching experience is preferred; exceptional industry experience may be considered.
