Petrochemicals Trade Operator

About the role

We are expanding our petrochemicals trading operations team and are looking for a Trade Operator to support end‑to‑end physical cargo execution. The role works closely with traders, operators and external counterparties throughout the trade lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate import and export movements of petrochemical cargoes from contract confirmation to settlement.
• Monitor vessel schedules and support loading and discharge activities in line with contractual requirements.
• Liaise with surveyors, terminals, shipowners, agents and trade counterparties.
• Prepare and manage shipping and banking documentation.
• Track laytime and demurrage exposure and update trading/operations systems.
• Collaborate with commercial, shipping, risk and finance teams to ensure smooth coordination.

Required profile

• Minimum 4 years of hands‑on experience in physical trading operations within petrochemicals or energy trading.
• Detail‑oriented and proactive in a fast‑paced environment with multiple stakeholders.
• Strong understanding of cargo execution, vessel scheduling and documentation processes.

Required skills

• Experience with trading and operations systems.
