Planner and Control – Manufacturing Scheduling

About the role

Applied Materials, a global leader in materials science and engineering solutions, is seeking a Planner and Control professional to manage high‑complexity manufacturing scheduling in Singapore. The role supports multiple production lines, ensuring on‑time delivery and efficient line design while collaborating with product support, R&D, and capacity planning teams.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and control multi‑line manufacturing schedules, balancing business demand, material constraints and capacity.
• Own tool configuration, slotting and NPMA (Non‑Pure Manufacturing Activities) approval and allocation.
• Design efficient production lines focusing on responsiveness, inventory and workload linearity.
• Monitor line performance and drive improvements in KPIs such as OTD, EOP, cycle time and SOE.
• Support manufacturing capacity fulfillment, training period allocation and field support activities.
• Coordinate with product support and R&D teams for home‑tool support, retrofit projects and option build planning.

Required profile

• Demonstrated conceptual knowledge in manufacturing disciplines and ability to broaden capabilities.
• Understanding of key business drivers and ability to apply them to daily work.
• Provides informal guidance to new team members and solves straightforward problems using technical judgment.
• Impacts quality of own work and that of the team while operating within established guidelines.
