Planning and Control Planner

About the role

Applied Materials, the global leader in materials science and engineering solutions, is seeking a Planning and Control Planner to manage complex manufacturing scheduling and line performance. The role supports the production of advanced semiconductor chips and displays, ensuring efficient operations across multiple lines.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and control high‑complexity manufacturing multiple‑line scheduling, considering business demands, manufacturing and material constraints.
• Responsible for line On‑Time Delivery (OTD) and own tool configuration & slotting.
• Manage NPMA (Non Pure Manufacturing Activities) approval and allocation.
• Design efficient lines focusing on responsiveness, inventory and linear workload.
• Control line performance while driving improvements in KPIs such as OTD, EOP, CT and SOE.
• Support manufacturing capacity fulfillment and manage training period allocation.
• Plan field support activities and act as main contact for Product Support teams.
• Plan manufacturing activities at the field, determine needed capacity and manage retrofit projects.
• Plan home tools support activities, manage R&D needs and serve as main contact for R&D teams.
• Manage option build plan cycle.
