Planning and Control Planner

About the role

Applied Materials, a global leader in materials science and engineering solutions for semiconductors and advanced displays, is hiring a Planning and Control Planner in Singapore. The role plans and controls high-complexity manufacturing, manages line scheduling and performance, and acts as the main contact for product support, field manufacturing, R&D and option build activities.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and control high-complexity manufacturing, including multiple line scheduling that considers business demands, manufacturing and material constraints
• Own the line OTD and tool configuration and slotting, and handle NPMA (Non-Pure Manufacturing Activities) approval and allocation
• Design lines efficiently in terms of responsiveness, inventory and linear workload
• Monitor line performance against KPIs such as OTD, EOP, CT and SOE, and support manufacturing capacity fulfillment
• Manage training period allocation and plan field support activities, acting as main contact to Product Support teams
• Determine manufacturing capacity needed, manage retrofit projects and plan home tools support activities
• Manage R&D needs, act as main contact to R&D teams, and manage the option build plan cycle

Required profile

• Expanded conceptual knowledge in the own discipline, with broadened capabilities
• Understanding of key business drivers and ability to use that understanding to complete own work
• No supervisory responsibilities, but informal guidance to new team members
• Able to solve problems in straightforward situations using technical experience and judgment
• Able to explain complex information clearly
