Plant HR Leader

About the role

The Plant HR Leader will drive the Human Capital strategy for Becton Dickinson’s manufacturing site on Jurong Island. Reporting to senior management, you will oversee talent acquisition, employee engagement, performance management, compensation, and occupational health and safety, ensuring alignment with business objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the HR team to deliver recruitment, performance management, learning and development, industrial relations, and compensation services.
• Design and implement talent management, employee engagement, and employer branding strategies.
• Develop career succession and staff retention programs to retain high‑performing talent.
• Provide expert guidance on employee relations issues and ensure compliance with Singapore employment legislation.
• Manage departmental budgets and control expenditures within approved limits.
• Partner with government agencies, tripartite alliances, and local business organizations.
• Establish and maintain equitable HR policies, controls, and training programs.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in social science, business administration or related field.
• 10–12 years of HR generalist experience, preferably in a manufacturing or medical‑device environment.
• Strong knowledge of Singapore employment, labor, affirmative action and occupational safety laws.
• Proven ability to lead teams, communicate effectively and manage change.
• Experience in budgeting and cost control for HR functions.
