Postdoctoral Fellow – Environment & Ageing Well Research

About the role

We are seeking a highly motivated Postdoctoral Fellow to join the Centre for Environment and Ageing Well (ENgAGE) at the Kent Ridge Campus. The fellow will support the development of the centre’s research agenda, contribute to grant proposals, and produce scholarly outputs that advance understanding of ageing, built environments, and wellbeing in Asia.

Key responsibilities

• Conceptualise and design research projects aligned with ENgAGE’s themes.
• Develop competitive grant proposals and assist in securing research funding.
• Prepare and co-author journal articles, policy briefs, and research reports.
• Conduct comprehensive literature reviews to inform project development.
• Support the creation of research frameworks, methodologies, and study designs related to ageing, the built environment, and health.
• Identify emerging topics and propose new research directions for the centre.

Required profile

• Ph.D. in Architecture, Urban Planning, Urban Studies, Social Sciences, or a related discipline.
• Demonstrated research expertise in at least one of the following areas: ageing in place, built environment and health, dementia, or related fields.
• Strong academic writing and publication record.
