Precision Machining Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a Precision Machining Engineer to support machining processes and manufacturing methods for complex precision components. The role will involve interpreting mechanical drawings, preparing standard parts, and developing process documentation while ensuring high quality and efficiency.

Key responsibilities

• Support machining processes and manufacturing methods for complex precision components.
• Interpret mechanical drawings for fabrication and machining, selecting and preparing standard parts.
• Develop and maintain Process Management Plans, Process Route Cards, and Job Travellers.
• Review process yields, production rates and performance, recommending improvements.
• Identify opportunities to reduce costs, improve capability and increase efficiency while maintaining quality.
• Lead corrective and preventive actions to resolve manufacturing issues.
• Participate in manufacturing reviews, production transitions, New Product Introduction and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Develop and improve standard work and manufacturing processes.

Required profile

• Diploma or Degree in Precision Machining, Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in a precision engineering or manufacturing environment.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving abilities with a disciplined, hands‑on approach.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate with cross‑functional teams.
