Job description
About the role
Analog Devices Singapore Design Center is looking for an experienced Principal Analog IC Design Engineer with deep expertise in power-management analog design. The role develops next-generation PMICs for portable consumer applications, involves direct customer engagement and offers supervisory and mentoring responsibilities. It sits within the Consumer Business Unit.
Key responsibilities
- Define and architect high-performance mixed-signal devices, including IC block design, transistor-level circuit design and simulation.
- Use recommended design and verification techniques, tools and flows to deliver efficient designs that meet functional, power and timing objectives.
- Integrate blocks into larger mixed-signal systems and support layout, lab evaluation and testing.
- Present technical information internally and to customers, and continuously improve analog design methodology to reduce time and cost to market.
- Architect, design and validate switching regulators (buck/boost, multi-mode/multi-phase), LDOs, charge pumps and switched-capacitor converters, including closed-loop control, compensation and stability optimization.
- Drive ultra-low-power, fast-transient, high-efficiency power designs for portable consumer applications and collaborate with system architects on end-to-end power architectures for mixed-signal SoCs.
- Lead power block bring-up, silicon debug and optimization across process, voltage and temperature variations.
Required profile
- MSEE or PhD in EE with at least 10 years of experience as an analog/mixed-signal IC designer.
- Deep, demonstrated expertise in power-management circuit design (switching regulators, LDOs, charge pumps, control loops).
- Full cell or system ownership, contributing from architecture selection through implementation and debug.
- Strong leadership, teamwork and communication skills for a multi-site cross-functional team.
- Experience integrating power-management blocks into complex SoCs or microcontroller systems is a strong advantage.
Required skills
- Power-management circuit design and control-loop architecture
- Transistor-level circuit design and simulation
- Export licensing review may be required for non-US citizens and permanent residents
Travel is required about 10% of the time; the shift is day shift.
