Principal, Industry Solution Engineer - Insurance

About the role

Salesforce is hiring a Principal Industry Solution Engineer for its Insurance industry practice. The role leads industry advisory and solution work through the pre-sales cycle, acting as a trusted advisor to customers and helping them transform their customer experience across the value chain. It sits alongside the Industry Solutions Architect and supports the aligned sales team.

Key responsibilities

• Manage enterprise organisations in the Insurance industry through discovery sessions and workshops
• Build trusted relationships with senior executives and key decision-makers across business and technology
• Develop and deliver custom solutions and solution concepts to key decision-makers
• Coordinate and lead the full solution cycle with technical and business resources
• Articulate the benefits of Salesforce to stakeholders from frontline staff to C-level executives
• Promote Salesforce and partner solutions and support customer and partner relationships
• Influence Product and Partners to address regional priorities
• Deliver high-quality results and take part in internal training and mentorship programmes

Required profile

• Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related discipline
• Proven track record developing and presenting differentiated custom solutions to key decision-makers
• Experience orchestrating a sales cycle involving multiple internal and external resources
• Willingness to travel occasionally
• Open to a variety of backgrounds; a background in solution engineering, consultancy, delivery or training is an advantage

Required skills

• Business case and value engineering experience
• Knowledge of cloud computing, SFA, service and support, marketing and mobile solutions
• Knowledge of related applications, relational databases and web technologies
• Strong oral, written, presentation and collaboration skills
• Added advantage: exposure to Design Thinking, consulting methodologies and enterprise architecture
