Principal, Industry Solution Engineer - Travel, Transport and Hospitality

About the role

Salesforce is hiring a Principal Industry Solution Engineer for its Travel, Transport and Hospitality vertical. The role leads advisory and solution work through the pre-sales cycle and delivers thought leadership to companies transforming their customers' experience across the value chain. The engineer acts as a trusted advisor to customers and helps the sales team build viable solutions aligned with business outcomes.

Key responsibilities

• Run discovery sessions and workshops with enterprise organisations in Travel, Transport and Hospitality to understand their challenges and goals
• Build trusted relationships with senior executives and key decision-makers across business and technology
• Develop and deliver custom solutions, including solution concepts, to key decision-makers
• Coordinate and lead the full solution cycle with technical and business resources
• Articulate the benefits of Salesforce to stakeholders from frontline staff to C-level executives
• Promote Salesforce and partner solutions and support customer and partner relationships
• Influence Product and Partners to address regional priorities
• Take part in internal training and mentorship programmes

Required profile

• Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related discipline
• Proven track record developing and presenting differentiated custom solutions to key decision-makers
• Experience orchestrating a sales cycle involving multiple internal and external resources
• Willingness to travel occasionally
• Strong oral, written, presentation and collaboration skills
• Interest in growing a career and joining training and mentorship initiatives

Required skills

• Broad understanding of Cloud Computing, SFA, Service & Support, Marketing and Mobile solutions
• Business case and value engineering experience
• Knowledge of related applications, relational databases and web technologies
• Added advantage: exposure to Design Thinking, consulting methodologies and enterprise architecture
