Principal Podiatrist

About the role

The new Tengah General and Community Hospital is building a state‑of‑the‑art podiatry service. As Principal Podiatrist you will lead clinical care, service design and interdisciplinary collaboration to deliver high‑quality foot health services for the community.

Key responsibilities

• Plan podiatry services, including space layout, workflow, design and staffing requirements.
• Collaborate with clinical, allied health, operational and administrative stakeholders to shape service delivery.
• Independently assess, diagnose and treat patients referred for podiatry, creating appropriate treatment plans.
• Coordinate care with physicians, participate in case conferences and make interdisciplinary referrals as needed.
• Accurately document clinical assessments in podiatry records.
• Network with healthcare practitioners across the NUHS network.
• Ensure compliance with clinical and service standards.
• Support administrative tasks as assigned.

Required profile

• Recognised degree in Podiatry.
• Postgraduate qualifications in a relevant clinical specialty (preferred).
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience, preferably in a hospital or medical institution.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work in diverse contexts.
• Proven ability to recognise, assess, diagnose and treat a wide range of podiatric conditions.
• Adaptable, able to multitask and manage time effectively.
• Effective problem‑solving, planning and organisational abilities, with awareness of resource management.
