Principal Process Engineer - Thin Film CVD

About the role

GlobalFoundries is looking for a Principal Process Engineer for its Thin Film CVD process area. The role develops, sustains and improves semiconductor processes to meet technology development goals, and manages a group of engineers and associate engineers when needed.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, sustain and improve processes to meet technology development goals, and manage a group of Engineers and Associate Engineers if necessary.
• Maintain deep knowledge of multiple processes and a good understanding of their integration impact.
• Establish plans and strategies to optimise process capability to meet operations requirements.
• Initiate and drive projects to improve quality, cost and equipment throughput.
• Start up new processes involving process characterisation and development.
• Facilitate continuous improvement programmes to improve process capability.
• Understand the process roadmap and plan projects systematically.
• Work with the integration team and suggest improvements constructively.
• Organise and deliver training and guidance to Engineers and Associate Engineers.
• Provide technical leadership and act as a coach to Senior Engineers and Engineers.
• Perform all activities safely and responsibly, supporting Environmental, Health, Safety and Security requirements.

Required profile

• BS, Master's or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Science, Solid State Physics or another relevant engineering physical science discipline.
• Relevant working experience.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively with people from different cultures.
