Principle Engineer - RF Reliability

About the role

GlobalFoundries is hiring a Principle Engineer for its RF reliability function. You will work cross-functionally with integration, device and design teams in the RF product line to drive reliability objectives through development and qualification. A solid background in semiconductor reliability and SiGe HBT and RF-SOI devices is essential.

Key responsibilities

• Drive reliability planning, testing and assessments for RF-SOI and RF-SiGe technologies, using risk-based thinking and the latest developments in RF device reliability physics
• Develop Safe Operating Area (SOA) models for RF switches and power amplifiers
• Perform root cause analysis on reliability tests, initiate failure analysis, propose corrective actions and keep FMEAs up to date
• Prepare qualification plans and reports for internal and external customers
• Act as a technical resource for reliability lab operations and coordinate sample preparation, test time allocation, test data review and the initiation of failure analysis

Required profile

• Advanced degree (MS or PhD) in Electrical Engineering, Physics, Materials Science or another applicable field
• 4-5 years of experience with an MS, or 2-4 years with an MS, or 1-2 years with a PhD
• Experience in semiconductor technology and product reliability engineering, with RF

Required skills

• Strong foundation in device and reliability physics
• Accelerated testing methodology
• Reliability modelling methodology

Preferred: experience working with cross-functional and globally distributed teams, and experience with RF technology device performance and reliability. Offers are conditional on passing background checks and medical screenings where applicable.
