Process Engineer

About the role

You will design, improve and support manufacturing processes at GSK’s Singapore site. Working closely with operations, quality, engineering and safety teams, you will solve problems, deliver projects and drive performance improvements in a regulated environment.

Key responsibilities

• Lead process engineering activities for new chemical entities (NCE) in the pilot plant, collaborating with chemists, operations and engineering to review scale‑up requests and define optimal plant configurations.
• Troubleshoot process and equipment issues, restore production reliability and implement improvement actions.
• Support process development, optimisation, scale‑up and technology transfer activities.
• Define, monitor and act on key performance indicators with stakeholders.
• Assist with equipment and computer system installation, commissioning, qualification and validation.
• Contribute to facility capital projects and provide technical guidance and training to operators.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical, Biochemical or related engineering discipline.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in manufacturing or process engineering within the pharmaceutical, biotech or related industry.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills, with a commitment to clear and respectful collaboration.
• Knowledge of current Good Manufacturing Practice (cGMP) and health‑and‑safety requirements.
