Process Engineering Engineer - Diffusion

About the role

GlobalFoundries, a full-service semiconductor foundry, is hiring a Process Engineering (Diffusion) engineer. The role supports production ramp through process qualification, productivity improvement and tool release, and can be performed as an individual contributor or as a manager.

Key responsibilities

• Support production ramp by process qualification, productivity improvement and tool release.
• Create, analyze and review technical charts and data such as SPC, DOE, split lot, Space, Si-view, JMP and Klarity.
• Match processes between equipment to reduce variation and improve tool matching.
• Identify chronic issues and set up improvement programs and procedures for resolution.
• Work with cross-functional teams on yield improvement, excursions and best practices across fabs.
• Run continuous improvement plans to raise performance indices and optimize productivity.
• Carry out all work safely and in line with environmental, health, safety and security requirements.

Required profile

• A university degree (technical); exceptions approved by local HR.
• BS with 4-5 years of experience, MS with 2-4 years, or PhD with 1-2 years.
• Senior technical level: solves complex, novel problems, contributes to patents and publications, trains and guides others, and works with suppliers and consortia.
