Process Support Engineer (Metrology)

About the role

As a Process Support Engineer you will guide semiconductor equipment through its full lifecycle, providing on‑site installations, diagnostics and repairs while collaborating with customers and R&D teams to develop advanced manufacturing processes.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver high‑visibility customer support on‑site, including system installations, diagnoses and complex equipment repairs.
• Create hypothesis experiments and design of experiments (DOE), analyse data with statistics and compile technical reports.
• Troubleshoot complex process issues, perform root‑cause analyses and resolve challenging engineering problems.
• Communicate with internal stakeholders and customers to build trust and achieve project goals.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in chemistry, physics, materials engineering, electrical engineering, optoelectronics or a related field.
• 1–5 years of experience in a semiconductor fab or equipment environment, preferably in metrology.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills for customer interaction.
• Willingness to work daily at the customer’s clean‑room site.

Required skills

• Knowledge of Chemical Vapor Deposition (CVD) and Atomic Layer Deposition (ALD) processes.
• Experience with Plasma Reactive Ion Etch, Physical Vapor Deposition (PVD), Anneal and Implant technologies.
• Proficiency in designing and executing DOE and statistical data analysis.
• Metrology expertise in semiconductor manufacturing.
