Producer, Singapore Output

About the role

We are seeking a dynamic Producer to lead the Singapore output for our news bulletins. The role combines editorial judgment with hands‑on production, ensuring timely, accurate and engaging news delivery across TV and digital platforms.

Key responsibilities

• Assist or execute major news projects and cross‑platform coverage, including breaking news and special events.
• Lead live coverage, script and produce explainers, backgrounders and follow‑up stories.
• Prioritise news content, act as final gatekeeper for errors, and manage rundowns for News Tonight and Singapore Tonight bulletins.
• Oversee timing, duration and last‑minute updates of bulletins, handling live reporting on location when required.
• Commission maps and graphics, verify feeds from national broadcasters, and ensure technical commands are correctly coded for air.

Required profile

• Relevant degree and at least 2 years of journalism experience.
• Excellent command of English and strong organisational, communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Willingness to work irregular hours, including evenings and weekends.

Required skills

• Proficiency with audio and video editing software.
• Experience using the Octopus word‑processing tool.
• Familiarity with newsroom editing systems.
