Product Engineer - HBM Package Manufacturing

About the role

Micron is hiring a Product Engineer for its Heterogeneous Integration Group (HIG) High Bandwidth Memory (HBM) team, based at Fab 10A in Singapore. The engineer joins a global team of product engineers focused on next-generation HBM products, working on quality, cost, cycle time and scale, and collaborating across functions inside and outside HBM.

Key responsibilities

• Improve assembly-related coverage in manufacturing flows to reduce Time 0 and field DPM and prevent inline fallout
• Improve HBM cube yield through test optimization and coverage, working with Technology Development and Packaging
• Lead cross-functional initiatives to raise cumulative yield and quality
• Debug and resolve qualification and RMA packaging issues using electrical and physical failure analysis
• Work with Fab, Technology Development and packaging teams to set up a robust process conversion business process, and advise PDE teams on new conversions to improve yield and reduce cost
• Collaborate with Fab, HBM Technology Development, HBM Design, System Development and Quality/Reliability teams
• Promote innovation and make final decisions on risk analysis and project prioritization
• Develop and validate AI/ML models with cross-functional teams to improve quality, cost, cycle time and scale

Required profile

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical, Electronic or Mechanical Engineering
• 3+ years of experience in the semiconductor industry
• Product engineering and packaging experience preferred
• Experience in test flow handling and assembly processes; advanced packaging experience is an added advantage
• On-site work in Singapore with international travel to Taiwan, the US and Japan

Required skills

• Technical problem solving with root cause analysis through in-depth circuit analysis
• Good knowledge of statistics and data analysis tools and scripting
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
• Leadership and people leadership interest, with a strong sense of accountability
