About the role

Applied Materials, a global leader in materials science and engineering solutions for semiconductors and advanced displays, is hiring for a Production Control and Planning position in Singapore. Employees must specialize in planning activities involving production control, inventory control, process control, or shop floor control / Material Requirements Planning (MRP) integrity.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain the SAP work order release schedule so material arrives on time for manufacturing and engineering, reschedule and complete no-charge discrete jobs, and perform pre-shortage analysis and work order variance analysis.
• Review MRP execution, reconcile supply and demand, validate master scheduling and PDS requirements, and ensure proper disposition of Engineering Change Orders (ECOs), including status reports on ECOs and ECRs.
• Participate in floor audits with Finance to resolve WIP issues, attend production meetings and report on material shortage commitment dates.
• Work with engineers on materials for special engineering projects and with work centers on shop floor control activities.
• Analyze usage data and stock levels to order parts, maintain planned inventory levels, expedite shortages, forecast spare parts needs, examine material variances, and assist in setting up or modifying inventory systems.
• Take part in root cause analysis and corrective actions from PCI reporting and metrics, and drive cycle counting.
• As a subject matter expert, design and develop methods to consolidate and analyze big data, perform ad-hoc statistical and data-mining analysis, and build visualizations with Tableau.

Required skills

• SAP work order and MRP planning
• Data analysis and forecasting, with Python, SQL or an equivalent tool
• Tableau for data visualization
