Production Management - Equities Trading

About the role

Citi is looking for a senior Production Management professional for its Equities Trading team in Asia Pacific. The role supports day-to-day activities for Equities Asia Pacific trading and oversees a team of more than 35 support engineers who look after algorithmic trading, high-touch trading systems and client and market connectivity. It also drives initiatives to reduce support effort, automate platform resiliency and improve observability of latency, performance bottlenecks and failure detection.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a team or multiple teams, including people, budget, planning, performance evaluation, compensation, hiring, disciplinary actions and terminations, and approve budgets
• Resolve issues with impact beyond your own area and establish strategic plans for the function
• Lead and deliver disaster recovery plans, and run local staff forums and present global, regional and location news
• Help define and implement standard methodologies for the department, ensure compliance with clockwork, resilience and capacity planning, and build positive relationships with infrastructure and other support teams
• Set measurable goals, develop staff and manage performance, hiring and compensation
• Influence senior leaders, negotiate with them and communicate with external parties
• Assess risk in business decisions, uphold compliance with laws, rules and regulations, escalate control issues and supervise others

Required profile

• 15+ years of relevant experience
• Advanced-level experience in an applications support role, with extensive business, functional and people management
• Senior stakeholder management and experience managing managers in a distributed environment
• Demonstrable track record of organizational improvement and senior application support or project management experience
• Bachelor's degree; master's degree preferred

• In-depth knowledge of FIX and of equities and client connectivity
• First-hand experience with best-in-class observability tools
• Strong analytical, communication and organizational skills
