Production Manager – Events

About the role

The Production Manager will lead the planning, coordination, fabrication and technical execution of a wide range of event productions, ensuring each project is delivered safely, on schedule and within budget. Working closely with project managers, designers and technical partners, you will turn creative concepts into seamless on‑site experiences.

Key responsibilities

• Review event concepts, technical drawings and production requirements to assess feasibility.
• Develop detailed production plans, work schedules and installation timelines, allocating manpower across multiple projects.
• Oversee fabrication of custom structures, scenic elements and exhibition booths, liaising with carpentry workshops and vendors.
• Manage all AV and technical production needs, coordinate rehearsals, equipment testing and troubleshoot live‑event issues.
• Plan delivery schedules, transportation, warehouse inventory and asset tracking to ensure timely arrival of materials.
• Lead on‑site production teams during setup and strike, supervise contractors, freelancers and labour crews, and conduct daily briefings.
• Ensure compliance with venue regulations, engineering requirements and safety standards through quality inspections.

Required profile

• Proven experience in event production, fabrication and technical execution.
• Strong ability to manage multiple concurrent projects and meet tight deadlines.
• Excellent coordination skills with suppliers, vendors and internal stakeholders.
• Solid understanding of safety standards, venue regulations and quality control processes.
• Hands‑on leadership style, capable of directing diverse on‑site teams.
