Production Operator

About the role

Becton, Dickinson and Company (BD), a global medical technology company, is looking for a Production Operator (also called Production Technician) to join its manufacturing team at the Tuas plant in Singapore. The role produces life-saving medical technologies used by patients worldwide.

Key responsibilities

• Operate and monitor manufacturing equipment to meet production, quality and safety targets.
• Troubleshoot machine and equipment issues to minimise downtime.
• Perform preventive maintenance, machine cleaning and routine servicing.
• Carry out in-process inspections and manage non-conforming products according to quality requirements.
• Execute machine and product changeovers, including material, tooling and setup changes.
• Record production, downtime, waste and materials data in MES systems.
• Support continuous improvement, Kaizen and operational excellence initiatives.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve productivity and quality.

Required profile

• Experience in manufacturing, production, technical operations or machine maintenance is preferred.
• Able to work in a fast-paced, team-based production environment.
• Committed to safety, quality and GMP compliance.
• Eager to learn and grow within a large manufacturing organisation.

Required skills

• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of GMP compliance.
