Production Operator – Tuas Plant

About the role

Becton, Dickinson and Company (BD) is hiring a Production Operator / Technician at its Tuas plant in Singapore. The role supports daily manufacturing operations, including maintenance and troubleshooting. Full training is provided and candidates without experience are welcome. Candidates can choose a permanent day shift (7am–7.15pm) or a permanent night shift (7pm–7.15am); off days are rotated.

Key responsibilities

• Operate machine or process units as assigned.
• Troubleshoot machine and equipment failures to meet production targets, quality standards and specifications.
• Perform preventive maintenance (cleaning, servicing, replacing).
• Check and record machine or process parameters while working, and take containment and corrective action when needed.
• Sample parts according to the quality plan and dispose of non-conforming products as required.
• Support the Team Leader with changes and projects in the production area and ensure compliance with EHS, quality, cost and schedule.
• Update machine MES data accurately, such as component lot numbers, shift output, waste and downtime.
• Manage material handling, including packing, unpacking and loading/unloading.
• Perform visual inspection using a scope.

Required profile

• At least secondary school level (O-Level, SPM, NITEC or Diploma) in any field.
• Legal right to work in Singapore.
• Able to work in a cleanroom or non-cleanroom manufacturing environment.
• Able to work permanent day or night shifts and to stand for long hours.
• Able to load and unload materials weighing 10-20 kg.

Walk-in interviews are held on the 2nd and 4th Wednesday of each month (excluding public holidays), 9am-3pm, at the Tuas plant.
