Production Technician

About the role

Becton, Dickinson and Company, a global medical technology company, is hiring a Production Technician in Tuas, Singapore. The role supports daily manufacturing operations, including machine operation, troubleshooting and preventive maintenance. Candidates can choose either a permanent day or a permanent night shift.

Key responsibilities

• Operate machine or process units as assigned.
• Troubleshoot machine and equipment failures to meet production targets, quality standards and specifications.
• Perform preventive maintenance (cleaning, servicing and replacement).
• Record machine and process parameters while working, and take containment and corrective action when needed.
• Sample parts according to the quality plan and dispose of non-conforming products as required.
• Support the Team Leader with changes and projects in the production area, ensuring compliance with EHS, quality, cost and schedule.
• Update machine MES data accurately, such as component lot numbers, shift output, waste and downtime.
• Manage material handling, including packing, unpacking and loading/unloading.
• Perform visual inspection using a scope.

Required profile

• At least secondary school level (O-Level, SPM, NITEC or Diploma) in any field.
• Legal right to work in Singapore.
• Able to work in a cleanroom or non-cleanroom manufacturing environment.
• Able to work permanent day or night shifts and to stand for long hours.
• Able to load and unload materials weighing 10-20 kg.
