Professor/Associate Professor of Geroscience

About the role

The Lee Kong Chian School of Medicine seeks a Professor or Associate Professor in Geroscience to lead cutting‑edge ageing research and contribute to undergraduate and postgraduate teaching.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and sustain an independent research programme in ageing, including proposal writing, grant acquisition, project management and publication in peer‑reviewed journals.
• Secure competitive funding from governmental and industry sources to ensure a sustainable research portfolio.
• Teach and mentor medical and graduate students, employing team‑based and e‑learning methods, and integrate geroscience content into the MBBS curriculum.
• Collaborate with faculty across LKCMedicine, NTU and clinical partners on interdisciplinary projects covering cognitive dysfunction, neurodegeneration, metabolic disorders, cancer, inflammation and novel therapeutics.
• Supervise and mentor junior faculty, research staff and students, and contribute to academic committees and administrative duties.

Required profile

• MBBS/MD and/or PhD degree(s) with relevant post‑doctoral or clinical experience.
• Proven record of translational clinical research and teaching with high scientific impact in ageing or related fields.
• Demonstrated ability to obtain research funding and publish in international journals.
