Project Engineer – ACMV/Mechanical

About the role

Our client, a leading air‑conditioning and mechanical ventilation (ACMV) provider in Singapore, is looking for a competent Project Engineer to oversee mechanical and M&E works across multiple projects.

Key responsibilities

• Liaise with consultants, clients and subcontractors to monitor progress of M&E works.
• Supervise works to ensure compliance with contract drawings and specifications.
• Prepare method statements, shop drawings, installation/T&C check sheets and progress reports.
• Coordinate technical submissions and shop drawing approvals with suppliers and consultants.
• Assist the Project Manager with M&E master construction and testing & commissioning schedules.
• Support procurement of materials, equipment and labour within approved budgets.
• Resolve technical and site issues through stakeholder discussions.
• Engage with authorities for inspections, testing requirements and commissioning.

Required profile

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in M&E construction or a similar role.
• Strong knowledge of building M&E services and ACMV systems.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and detect discrepancies.
• Understanding of local M&E legislation and experience in defect rectifications.

Required skills

• Competency in Autodesk Revit.
• Proficiency with BIM tools.
