Project Engineer (Singapore/Malaysia)

About the role

Botsync is looking for a proactive Forward Deployed Engineer to support the end-to-end execution of customer projects, from on-site installation and system readiness to post-deployment support. You will work closely with customers and internal teams to deliver projects smoothly, safely and on time, coordinating activities at customer locations and building strong relationships with customer teams. The role covers robotics and automation projects across Southeast Asia.

Key responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end delivery of robotics and automation projects, managing schedules, milestones, budgets, resources and deliverables
• Coordinate installation, commissioning and activation at customer sites with engineering and deployment teams
• Serve as the main point of contact for customers and manage expectations, escalations and change requests
• Oversee system integration, testing, commissioning and Site Acceptance Testing (SAT)
• Support decisions on AMRs, robotics software, navigation systems, PLCs and automation infrastructure
• Identify risks and dependencies early and monitor project performance to keep delivery on schedule
• Collaborate with engineering, software, product, operations and commercial teams, and prepare regular project status reports
• Support deployments across Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia and other regional markets, travelling to customer sites

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Robotics or a related field
• 3-5 years of experience in robotics, automation or industrial systems
• English mandatory; Mandarin an advantage
• Willingness to travel extensively (70% field, 30% office)

Required skills

• Solid understanding of robotic systems including actuators, sensors and control systems
• Proficiency in ROS (Robot Operating System) and Python
• Mechanical assembly, soldering and crimping
