Project Engineer - Water Treatment

About the role

Veolia Water Technologies, part of the Veolia group, is hiring a Project Engineer in Serangoon. The engineer ensures that projects are delivered within budget, on schedule, and to safety and quality standards in line with the client's contract, providing services at the client's site according to the purchase order.

Key responsibilities

• Provide technical advice, system monitoring, maintenance, troubleshooting, and piping and repair work
• Take part in kick-off meetings, work on the approved budget and proposal, and monitor project activities against technical specifications
• Draw up a process-commissioning schedule and prepare documentation for FAT, SAT, commissioning, performance trials and validation
• Review CAD drawings from the E&IC vendor so that equipment meets client specifications, electrical codes and engineering standards
• Maintain good relations with clients, consultants, contractors and authorities, liaise with procurement and logistics, and help select sub-contractors and suppliers
• Be on call 24/7 for emergencies, raise safety awareness, apply safety procedures and carry out risk assessments
• Apply quality procedures, give regular progress reports to customers and management, and prepare training manuals and train operators

Required profile

• University degree or postgraduate diploma in Civil, Environmental, Chemical, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering
• Fresh graduates accepted with 0 to 3 years of experience in the water treatment industry
• Ability to prepare reports and documents with minimal supervision (competent)
• Customer focus, initiative and team leadership
