Project Officer – Two-Phase Cooling

About the role

The School of Mechanical & Aerospace Engineering at NTU seeks a Project Officer to advance research on two-phase cooling technologies for high heat flux applications. The role involves both numerical and experimental work to develop innovative thermal management solutions for next‑generation electronic and energy systems.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct numerical modelling and simulation of two‑phase heat transfer and fluid flow, including phase change and interfacial effects.
• Design, fabricate, and experimentally test two‑phase cooling devices such as microstructured surfaces, nozzle systems, and cooling modules.
• Develop system‑level cooling solutions, selecting appropriate fluids and optimizing thermal performance.
• Utilise conventional and advanced manufacturing techniques, including additive manufacturing, to create prototype components.
• Collaborate with the Principal Investigator and research team to align project outcomes with industry needs.

Required profile

• Background in mechanical, aerospace, or related engineering discipline.
• Experience with thermal analysis, fluid dynamics, and heat transfer research.
• Ability to work independently and contribute to multidisciplinary research projects.
