Public Area Attendant

About the role

The Public Area Attendant ensures that all public spaces of Mondrian Singapore Duxton are clean, well‑maintained and welcoming for guests. Working under the Director of Housekeeping, you will support the smooth operation of restrooms, lobby areas and other guest‑facing zones, upholding the hotel’s high standards of hygiene and service.

Key responsibilities

• Inspect and clean public restrooms at least every 30 minutes during the shift, keeping them fresh‑smelling and fully stocked.
• Collect, fold and restock restroom towels; return soiled linens to laundry.
• Dust, wipe walls, doors and tables in the lobby and other public areas as needed.
• Empty and clean trash bins throughout public spaces.
• Maintain cleanliness and operability of public‑area telephones.
• Report any maintenance defects or equipment issues to the Housekeeping office immediately.
• Handle guest inquiries, requests and complaints promptly with thorough follow‑up.
• Manage assigned keys, follow signing procedures and process lost‑property according to protocol.
• Assist colleagues with related tasks and participate in projects or training as directed.

• Good communication skills for interacting with guests and team members.
• Reliability, accountability and willingness to take ownership of tasks.
