Public Relations Officer – Construction

About the role

The Public Relations Officer will support Woh Hup’s construction projects by managing all public relations activities on site. You will act as the liaison between the project team, developers, engineers and the surrounding community, ensuring clear and timely communication throughout the construction lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate with developers and engineers on stakeholder engagement and public feedback.
• Design, produce and distribute communication materials such as newsletters, flyers, circulars and brochures.
• Organise outreach activities including briefings, dialogue sessions and exhibitions related to building projects.
• Engage stakeholders through new media and social media platforms, creating and managing Facebook Groups.
• Communicate construction updates—especially major works like excavation, piling and concreting—to nearby residents and businesses.
• Ensure all public relations activities adhere to site safety practices.

Required profile

• Minimum GCE “A” Level or a Diploma in a relevant discipline.
• At least 2 years of experience in a similar public relations role, preferably within building or construction projects.

Required skills

• Proficiency with social media platforms, especially Facebook Groups.
• Ability to design and produce communication materials (newsletters, flyers, brochures, etc.).
