Purchaser – Mechanical & Electrical (M&E)

About the role

We are looking for a diligent Purchaser specializing in Mechanical & Electrical (M&E) items to support our construction projects. The role involves sourcing, evaluating and acquiring materials, equipment and services while ensuring cost‑effectiveness and timely delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Source, evaluate and purchase M&E materials, equipment and services according to project specifications.
• Obtain quotations, negotiate pricing, delivery schedules and payment terms with suppliers.
• Issue Purchase Orders and monitor their progress to guarantee on‑time procurement.
• Coordinate with Project Managers, Engineers and site teams to align deliveries with construction schedules.
• Follow up on order status, resolve discrepancies and maintain accurate records.
• Maintain strong relationships with existing suppliers and explore new sourcing opportunities.
• Prepare cost analyses and compare quotations for management review.
• Monitor inventory levels and coordinate replenishment as needed.
• Perform ad‑hoc duties assigned by management.

Required profile

• Diploma, Higher NITEC or equivalent qualification.
• Minimum 2 years of purchasing or procurement experience in construction or M&E.
• Familiarity with M&E products, suppliers and the local construction market.
• Strong negotiation and communication abilities.
• Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities and solve problems.

• Performance‑based bonus ranging from 0 % to 20 % per month.
