QA Technical Specialist (Tuas Avenue 2)

About the role

Becton, Dickinson and Company (BD), a global medical technology company, is hiring a QA Technical Specialist at its Tuas Avenue 2 plant in Singapore. The role provides technical expertise to support quality functions in daily operations, manages preventive maintenance and project execution, and leads the quality auditor resources so that regulatory and quality requirements are met. It also involves coaching and training where applicable.

Key responsibilities

• Write and update standard operating procedures, standard work instructions and on-the-job training documentation.
• Investigate issues, write root cause reports and evaluate corrective and preventive actions.
• Develop and execute skill matrices and training plans, manage AMS, C2C training and conflict/grievance handling.
• Manage block stock containment, unblock stock, check completeness of quality notifications, follow up CAPAs and analyse complaint samples.
• Maintain inspection forms and quality records for lot traceability and record retention.
• Develop measurement systems, including programming, jig design, training and MSA, aligned to test methods and manufacturing specifications.
• Create defect albums and limit samples, troubleshoot measurement equipment, and support projects such as Minitab analysis and rationale sampling.
• Coordinate with cross-departmental teams and external vendors, and lead pre-assigned quality committees.
• Support department goals such as Kaizen submissions, team building, safety kaizens and continuous improvement, and report quality and safety incidents and deviations.

Required profile

• Minimum diploma in Engineering.
• Competency assessment according to the assigned work tasks.
• Knowledge of statistical techniques and product quality.
