Quality Control Internship (Chemistry & Biochemistry)

About the role

GSK is offering a Quality Control internship in Singapore from March 2027 to August 2027, open to current students of a local polytechnic. You will assist in day-to-day laboratory operations and take part in live projects or assignments under the supervision of the QC Lab manager and lab supervisors.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in day-to-day laboratory operations and in 5S/housekeeping
• Perform QC testing of utilities, raw materials, manufacturing processes and products, ensuring results follow corporate, regulatory and external agency regulations
• Revise SOPs for corrective actions and improvements
• Support equipment, software and method validation and (re)validation
• Review chemistry testing and enforce laboratory policies and safety and security practices

Required profile

• Diploma student from an accredited local polytechnic, preferably in Chemistry and Biochemistry (or equivalent)
• Must stay enrolled at a local polytechnic during the internship and complete a credit-bearing internship
• Fluent written and spoken English
• Interest in quality control, the commercial world and the biopharma industry

Required skills

• Good laboratory knowledge and hands-on chemistry testing experience
• Knowledge of cGLP, cGMP and laboratory equipment qualification is a plus
• Proficiency with IT and software, ideally document management and database systems
• Strong written and oral communication and attention to detail
