Quality Engineer – Aviation & Regulatory Compliance

About the role

We are looking for a Quality Engineer to join our aerospace and defense team at RTX. The role supports the Quality Management System, works with senior engineers and cross‑functional teams, and contributes to continuous improvement on the shop floor.

Key responsibilities

• Support implementation and maintenance of the Quality Management System (QMS) in line with regulatory and company requirements.
• Collaborate with senior Quality Engineers and cross‑functional teams on repair‑related quality activities.
• Monitor process performance, compile quality data and generate analysis reports.
• Participate in investigations, root‑cause analysis and corrective‑action implementation.
• Assist with internal audits (system, product, process) and follow‑up on action closures.
• Review and update procedures, work instructions and quality documentation.
• Support supplier and subcontractor quality evaluations and follow‑ups.
• Help prepare and coordinate training on quality and compliance topics.
• Maintain accurate records in accordance with regulatory requirements.
• Contribute to continuous‑improvement initiatives on the shop floor.

Required profile

• Degree in Engineering, Quality, Aerospace or a related discipline.
• Fresh graduate or early‑career professional with strong interest in aviation quality and regulatory compliance.
• Analytical mindset, attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.
• Effective communication skills and willingness to learn in a fast‑paced environment.
• Curious, adaptable and comfortable working with data and digital tools.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Experience with Power BI or similar data‑visualisation platforms.
• Basic knowledge of data analysis and digital tools.
• Interest or basic familiarity with AI tools, automation concepts or data analytics.
