Quality Engineer (Logistics & Customer Quality)

About the role

We are seeking a Quality Engineer focused on Logistics and Customer Quality to join Farnell, a global high‑service distributor of technology products. In this role you will support the delivery of high‑quality products and services by applying robust quality assurance methods across internal and external processes.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, evaluate, and apply technical quality assurance tools and methods for assigned areas such as inspection, verification, validation, and process improvement.
• Ensure compliance with applicable standards and requirements (ISO, Six Sigma, Lean, customer, supplier, and regulatory).
• Analyze trends in inspection, quality, process, customer, and supplier data and recommend corrective actions.
• Conduct random, scheduled, and unscheduled audits to verify conformance to specifications and procedures.
• Interface with cross‑functional teams, customers, suppliers, and external certification bodies.
• Provide technical support using root‑cause analysis, sampling plans, Pareto analysis, and statistical process control.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• Less than 2 years of relevant experience.
• Foundational knowledge of ISO standards.
