Quality Manager

About the role

IFF is seeking a Quality Manager to lead food safety and quality initiatives for its Singapore operations. Based on‑site in Chin Bee, you will work with a customer‑focused, creative team to ensure products meet the highest standards of safety, compliance, and sustainability.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain Quality and Food Safety Management Systems (GMP, HACCP, ISO, FSSC, AIB) in line with company and regulatory requirements.
• Manage quality documentation, including manuals, SOPs, and work instructions, ensuring robust document control.
• Define and execute quality strategy, objectives, budgets, and resource plans aligned with business goals.
• Lead audits, CAPA actions, and ensure compliance with food safety regulations, customer specifications, and certification standards.
• Oversee quality control processes such as lab testing, equipment calibration, and approval of product documentation (specifications, COAs, SDS).
• Address customer quality issues, conduct root‑cause investigations, and implement corrective/preventive actions.
• Manage supplier quality programs, including vendor development, performance metrics, and incoming material compliance.
• Drive risk‑management activities like traceability, mock recalls, allergen control, and labeling accuracy.
• Promote training, quality culture, and regional/global collaboration to standardise practices.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in chemical engineering, food science, chemistry or a related field.
• 5–10 years of experience in quality and food safety management within food, flavor, or ingredient manufacturing.
• Strong knowledge of GMP, HACCP, and international food safety standards.
• Proven experience managing customer and certification audits.
• Excellent communication, analytical abilities, and attention to detail.
